Recycle, Renew and Reuse

Here is our old side door. See how the paint is chipped, the hinges for the old storm door are still on, and don't forget two door handles!!! Yes and the bottom handle is slowly decomposing. I know, I know! I have hated this door ever since I first laid eyes on it, but for some reason it took me 2 years to do something about it. Well instead of spending the money to buy a new door I thought it would be super easy to fix this one up, and that is just what we did.

Doesn't the door look brand new?Next step curtains!

First snow of the season

This is looking out our front door.
Last weekend we got our first snow storm!  I loved opening the front door and feeling the brisk, clean air.  Of course it was melted later that day (thank goodness), I'm not totally ready for it to stick quite yet.

Realizations-

Over the past couple days I have had some realizations and I figured I would share with them you. (This may not relate to you but it certainly does to me).
1. We become boring and less adventitious once we get full time jobs and become responsible.
- I used to always tell my older sister that she acted like a grandma after she got married, and now I realize that it was probably because she got hit with responsibility. Now I see myself acting the same way!!!
2. I love talk radio! NPR, Dave Ramsey, Glenn Beck, and my radio station of choice is classical 89. Seriously how old am I.
- I totally take after my wonderful Dad with this one because he only listens to talk radio. All growing up when he would drive an hour home from work, pick me up and then drive all the way back to Salt Lake for dance class we would be listening to talk radio. Thanks Dad!
3. This morning for some reason my radio was on an up beat station and it totally woke me up and put me in a great mood. I was in such a good mood that I even waved to the guy in the car next to me who I ironically went to high school with and he just stared at me like who are you, seriously I don’t look that different, maybe he was just tired.
- Maybe this should be my new morning drive to work routine because it totally puts me in a good mood and I should leave the talk/classical for the drive home.
4. I can’t wait to have toddlers so I can blast the music and we can dance, dance, dance.
- There is nothing else that I love more than blasting the music why I am doing chores. It just makes the time go by much faster.

Oh and J.crew is the best place to work ever!! Today I get 70% off all markdowns! I can’t wait to go shopping!!!

Tutu-

A little while ago I was inspired by this blog to make tutus for my nieces who are 17 months and 2. I know that Anslee (17 months) would not really grasp the idea but I
thought that Clair (2) would absolutely love it. Well apparently Clair freaked out and would not put it on, but we put Anslee’s on and as you can see it is so so so so cute! I just love it and think that I will be making many more tutus. P.S. Thanks kelli for the
 pic's of Clair!
